Sounding like a cross between Billy Idol and Soft Cell, or maybe Depeche Mode, this is a punky little number sung with definite conviction though perhaps with a bit too much lip curl (ok, it worked for Elvis and Bill, but surely it's passé by now?)
Musically it's pacey - the drums are lively and ripping. The lead guitar's a bit underdeveloped and the melody is none too pronounced, rather light and airy more like the old "new wave" than real punk. Still, old school rather than old hat.
It's maybe a bit too caught up in the pose and mood of the dark street-lit lives of the sin city inhabitants. It's quite effective none the less, but not one you could listen to over and over again. I would like to hear them get a bit more gritty.
