Hackney-based three piece The Infadels describe themselves as techno-funk-disco-punksters who evolved from previous band Balboa because they "wanted to bring rock & roll back into electronica".
They've pretty much succeeded with their debut single on the splendidly named Dead By Thirty label. Leave Your Body updates punk with a deliciously distorted electro-vocal backing, a funky synth loop, punctuating guitar (Matt Gooderson) and insistent beat from Alex Bruford on drums that create a tough and instantly intriguing sound; Bhann (sic) provides impressive vocals.
Definitely one to watch.
