Summer has arrived - in musical form at least. Infinite Potential are a duo made up of Kojak and The Soulful Spider (perhaps not their real names), signed to forward-looking, Brighton-based independent label Catskills Records.

Starting off with the crackle of vinyl under needle, instrumental opener La Entrada gently unfolds into a light ska-edged track with an almost jazz-like ease about it. It is perfectly suited for dancing to in the open air or reclining to on one of those days when tarmac turns to black fudge and The Sun proclaim "Cor! Wot a scorcha!".

This is followed by some refreshingly bling-free hip hop. Firstly Amber MC and Dizraeli exercise their political conscience on Vocal Chords with the message; "In these days of war your vocal chords can do much more to stop the violence, stop fucking up our environment." The intentionally hilarious chorus and cheeky raps of Close Your Eyes then, perversely, give way to the title track. Though straight-forward chillout fare it too could form the perfect sunshine soundtrack. Now where's that heatwave they promised us?
