Surely already familiar to the world and his granny as the lilting, Newman-esque opener to the beautiful In Between Dreams LP, it seems that Better Together is to venture out on its lonesome.

Bearing all the marks of great songwriting, Better Together's vocal, lyrical and musical arrangements slide smoothly together like waxed boards on white surfs, each part complimenting the others with consumate ease, soaked in a theory that states quiet can be thrilling. But then... you already knew that.

He might be sickeningly talented, but Mr Johnson is not, apparently, too good to preach to the converted. With his Curious George material starting to make waves, one wonders about the wisdom of raiding In Between Dreams one more time. Ah, what the hell - it couldn't hurt.
