Atlantic must love James Blunt. His album Back To Bedlam seems to have come from nowhere and has been selling in bucketloads to the lucrative David Gray/Damien Rice market.
The reason for Back To Bedlam's success is epitomised by You're Beautiful. a gorgeous swooping ballad with lyrics of unrequited love that will pluck at a thousand heartstrings. Despite the lyrics relating an unattainable romance, it'll probably be the new favourite 'first dance' song for newly weds.
Some people may call him bland and it's true that his voice can grate a bit, but while he's writing songs as good as this he'll continue laughing all the way to the bank.
