Another graduate from the tenously connected 'Thamesbeat' scene, Jamie T is one of those artists who, once you've heard him, you scour the internet for any demo versions of his songs that may have been leaked, so desperate does one become to hear more of the man.
Following Sheila (a contender for 'single of the year' surely), If You Got The Money is another staggeringly good 4 minutes. Very different to the stark acoustic demo, the single release starts off gently lilting and reggae-like before building up gradually through the song. There's various effects throughout and Jamie's cockney-inflected vocals spitting out the usual genius lyrics.
Unfortunately, we have to wait another few months for the album, but if you're too impatient to wait until the New Year, this is another mightly addictive tune from one of the best new artists of the year.
