Rejection can make people stronger, and this is certainly the case for the urban R&B princess Javine. Since she was rejected for the band Girls Aloud on Pop Idol: The Rivals, the 22-year-old has released two singles, a debut album Surrender and now this third single, Come Together.
A great dance track, this cover of Jade's '90s pop hit is given a modern R&B twist that is sassy as it is booty-shaking. She is a very welcome British alternative to Beyonce.
Included on the single are four remixes as well as the radio edit. The Armand Van Heldon Club Mix is nearly nine minutes of pure stomping dance. If you liked her previous singles Real Things and Best Of My Love, then you'll love this infectious track. It's perfect to get you in the mood for a Friday night out.
