Bless her, still being known to some as "the one who didn't get into Girls Aloud," Javine's desire for success has taken her down the route marked ‘Eurovision' - a.k.a "desperation". Her war of words with Jordan was about as funny as her own wardrobe malfunction during A Song For Europe, but, alas, Javine was the chosen one.
Touch My Fire is definitely aimed at the Eurovision judges, stealing a Turkish vibe akin to Holly Valance's Kiss Kiss, but we're almost three years on since that particular former Neighbours star was at the top end of the charts. That alone makes the track seem dated, despite Javine Hylton's obvious strong vocal ability.
It's safe to say that this entry can expect slightly more than ‘nil points' from the not at all predictable judges. As for the U.K charts, with a bit of luck this track won't get close to the top ten and hopefully we'll be spared the agony of it hitting radio stations' A-lists.
