While nobody could accuse Aussie rockers Jet of being deep philosophers, it's hard not to deny that they're damn good at what they do. When they hit the spot, like with Are You Gonna Be My Girl, they're one of the best bands around.

Get Me Outta Here is typical Jet really, with guitar riffs a-plenty and lyrics extolling the virtues of "drinking all night and talking shit all day" before heading off to the bank to get plane tickets for LA. It sounds a bit too similar to Rollover DJ to these ears, but if you're looking for goodtime party music, don't look any further.

It may not break any new ground but as an example of why Jet are so popular it works just fine. The fact that it's a limited edition single and therefore may be worth a few bob in a couple of years means that this could be a late Christmas present for the Jet fan in your life.

- John Murphy
