Jetplane Landing - Brave Gravity (Smalltown America)

release date: 31 May 2004
Jetplane Landing - Brave Gravity

Highly recommended by MTV2's Zane Lowe, Jetplane Landing release their third single, Brave Gravity off second album Once Like a Spark.

Brave Gravity is as catchy as '90s Brit pop/punk can get. With an Ash-like feel that's bound to put a smile on anyone's face; Andrew Ferris's vocals are simply beautiful and resemble those of Tim Wheeler, welded in with Dan Wilson (Semisonic) and Mark Oliver Everett (The Eels). B-sides We Are The Pragmatists and The New Standard have a less over-produced finesse to them but they really don't need to be considered as Brave Gravity alone is worth purchasing.

Brave Gravity is enough to transform any glum day into a hot summery one. With the release of this little ditty on Jetplane Landing's own Smalltown America Smalltown America, it won't be a surprise to see major record Smalltown Americas attempting to sign the quartet in the near future.
