Having recently blown the once-great Liars off the stage at the Camden Monarch, Norwich's finest scream and scratch-merchants Kaito are yapping at our heels again courtesy of this four-track EP (EPs eh? Remember them? Early-90's-Ride-tastic!).
Anyway, if you ever feel you're getting jaded in your love of music - like on those odd days where you can't be arsed to listen to anything at all - stick on the main track here, Should I, at top volume. From the first firmly struck chord, discordant pop licks and yelping female hooks come hurtling at you like 26 dustbins full of ball-bearings crashing down a stone staircase. Who cares about playing instruments "properly"? Just burn the rule book, make a great noise, and let those weird ideas flow naturally.
One possible criticism is that all four tracks are lifted from their recent fantastic LP, Band Red (don't ask questions - get it now). If you already have that, there's no need to get involved here. Unless we could start a campaign to get this to Christmas number one. In a parallel universe with more justice than this one, it probably is.
