Kano is the UK's hottest urban star which is in no small part thanks to Mike Skinner of The Streets fame. Add to that duo the soulful vocals of Leo The Lion (not an actual lion) and the combination for a fantastic track are all in place. All it needed was for it to come together in the studio.

And come together it certainly did; Nite Nite is 2005's Dry Your Eyes. Beginning with a spoken intro from Mike Skinner, fading into a hint of the chorus from Leo The Lion before Kano raps his way through a tale about his favourite girl. There's nothing here that hasn't been done before, it's just about the way you can relate Nite Nite to your own life.

Maybe this is the love song for today's hooded youth with lyrics such as; "I call her sometimes / and I wake her up at some dumb times / touch my phone and her number my thumb finds." Even the chorus pinpoints the perception that falling in love is a weakness - but when that one comes along attitudes change. We've all been there at some point.
