Kanye West is the big draw in hip hop right now, yet he still finds time in between his many production commitments to come up with big guns like this.

The lyrics are telling: West raps about his graduation from a Ford Escort to a Porsche, yet not in a way that makes you want to disown him. On the contrary, he gives the impression of dark times lurking beneath the surface, although he doesn't need to resort to the tired old trick of lambasting the music critics. Just make sure you pronounce his name right, it's not Kane, alright?

This is hip hop for the widescreen, as the Shirley Bassey sample retains its full orchestral backing, given even further depth by the addition of a seismic bass to bother the woofers. It's an impressive sound from a man who can seemingly do no wrong at present. He just needs to beware the celebrity tantrum.
