Kid Symphony - Hands On The Money (Universal)

release date: 1 December 2003
Kid Symphony - Hands On The Money
Kid Symphony's glammed up, glistening, sparkly take on rock makes the disco rock riffery of Electric Six sound like the dirty snotty motifs of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. But where Electric Six give us humour and damned cool riffs, Kid Symphony have little to offer.

The duet's debut single, Hands On The Money, follows a simple pop structure that is far less than exciting, especially as they seem to be trying to get to the chorus as quickly as they can, before ramming their distorted guitars down your throat to the point of choking (or at least coughing heavily).

That said, this fast-paced, simple, happy anthem should go down a treat with the junior rocksters of the world, but this is the only thing that adds any element of fun to a song that will inevitably have a very short life span.
