Last year, Rihanna delighted and irritated an equal number of people over the summer with that ode to an Umbrella (ella, ella), which just happened to coincide with an unseasonal bout of floods across the country. So Adrian Flanagan, aka Kings Of Long Arms, must fancy tempting fate again with his new single.

Flanagan has been based in Sheffield for the last few years, has worked with the likes of Phil Oakey and Mike Joyce & Andy Rourke of The Smiths, and has even written an ode to ex-Emmerdale and You've Been Framed star Lisa Riley. He's roped in Scouse songstress Candie Payne here, and the result is a lovely little slice of electronica which bounces along beautifully in the manner of Lemon Jelly.

It's the perfect song to drag you out of those post-Christmas blues - indeed, just one listen will put a smile on even the stoniest of faces. And if it does rain uncontrollably throughout January, you can hardly blame Flanagan and Payne - after all, it's meant to rain this time of year, isn't it?
