The Knife are the latest electronic act to emerge from icy Scandinavian lands. Think Bjork's screwball sound wedded to Royksopp's sweetly tremulous tones. Brother and sister duo Karin and Olof describe their distinctive sound as "emotional electronic punk pop" blending '80s electro beats with Siouxsie style vocals and a pervasive sense of humour.

Heartbeats is taken from their forthcoming Deep Cuts album which has received rave reviews across Europe. Karin and Olof take us back to the glory days of the '80s when big hair and electro synths reigned supreme.

Emotive lyrics merge with forward thinking production to create one of the most exciting electronica releases of the year. The Rex The Dog remix is a masterful reworking that fits it up nicely for the dancefloor, and a techno interpretation by the dynamic duo themselves completes this package of endearingly off-kilter electronica.
