Funky, confident, breezy and upbeat, Suddenly I See brings KT Tunstall back from the brink of MOR balladry with a bang, a saunter and a modicum of mystery.

One of Eye To The Telescope's most energetic numbers, it could be a song about hero(ine) worship. It could be about lesbianism and loving a lady. Maybe it's about a mother.

"She's a beautiful girl / And everything around her is a silver pool of light / The people who surround her feel the benefit of it... And she's taller than most / And she's looking at me / I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine..."

It could of course be entirely abstract. Or just playful. Who remembers Andy, You're A Star by The Killers? No sooner did the rumours (largely self-stoked) about Brandon Flowers's preferences break cover than he casually announced he was engaged to a (female) supermodel. KT to marry by the end of the year?
