"Stop playing with my delirium" goes the catchy refrain of the latest single from Pip Brown. To that we might say, "Stop playing with our pop sensibilities!"
In a nice way of course - for Brown is so firmly rooted in the 80s with this song in particular that she sounds like a love-child of Stevie Nicks (chorus) and a less powerful Belinda Carlisle (verse). Not a comfortable thought.
Yet it is of course a secure recipe for a hit record, and when delivered without the feeling it's all been contrived, Ladyhawke hit gold again. Try getting it out your head after three listens - you won't!
