Another new single from the Montreal trio, off the back of their relatively well-received debut (though not on this site, funnily!) Applause Cheer Boo Hiss.
With the title as it is you might have hoped for something a bit more perky and with the feeling of clumsiness, but as it turns out The Man Who Breaks Things is charming - yet largely unmemorable.
The trio secure some nice vocal sonorities, the harmonies slightly dreamy and woozy, but somehow that's not quite enough without a killer melody to carry it. All very nice - but without a feeling of durability, sadly.
