When your band name sounds like a spring fresh fabric conditioner and you're a five piece girl group, the prospects for individuality seem slim. The girls give a squeaky clean performance of All Right Now, removing almost all the rough edges and stains of the original. Unfortunately that means we're left with sub-Girls Aloud fayre, hardly the best of compliments.
Bohemian Rain makes for a more effective B-side, but still has some uncomforablte moments, chiefly the piercing opening vocal and the cheesy, presumably "Bohemian" guitar effects. A briefly atmospheric middle section aside, this is almost as ineffective as
the title track.
There's a whiff of holiday camp about the cover, and although it's clear the girls can hold a tune this release doesn't bode well for their immediate future.
