Levellers seem to have been around forever. What most people don't realise is that they had more platinum gold and silver albums in the '90s than any other UK act.

Coming back to them after a long absence to listen to the new single, Come On, it's obvious why - they produce irresistible music. Come On is a terrific upbeat song that showcases their virtuosity, both vocal and instrumental, the folky backdrop melding with contemporary lyrics.

Hooligan rocks along nicely and Tranquil Blue is a wistful ballad both worthy and reminiscent of Neil Young at his best. If this single doesn't make you await the forthcoming album with keen anticipation there's something wrong with you.
