So this is where the legacy of Nirvana ended up. Lifehouse have produced a so-so song with Spin, the sort of thing you'd like if you're into middle-of-the-road rock. It's... not bad.

Guitars are hammered as you'd expect of a rock act, the chords are all uplifting power efforts, the vocals sound like Kurt Cobain's been exhumed specially to deliver them, and the production glosses it all over with a one-size-fits-all brush of blandness, tailored for a commercial radio station near you.

Honestly. It's better than a lot of stuff around. It's really not bad. But it's not edgy, interesting, groundbreaking or memorable either.
