Twice, the first track on Little Dragon's single, emerges from the fog with a woody and simple piano backing and an escalating bass line mirroring the more soulful and early offerings of Zero 7. It's warm and soothing, especially with the occasional electrical butterfly fluttering past.

The vocals of Yukimi Nagano, double-tracked in places to bring an ambient depth and fullness, are simple, pronounced and understated. They work beautifully with the rich and enchanting strings, creating a relaxing and quite minimalist number, which seems a little strange for a first single release from Little Dragon's forthcoming album. But it's the perfect way to get listeners wanting more - starting with a peep through the keyhole and leaving them wanting to know what's behind the door.

More is revealed with the additional track Test. A bassy and distorted beat gradually incorporates some simple, yet effective electro, without alienating the indie or folk fans among us. The quirkiness of xylophone, hand claps and a jazz sax bridge only reinforces that Little Dragon is doing something a little different. It's another interesting pop offering from our Swedish friends.
