The curiously named Kaiser Saucy and Lord Fader (collectively known as The Loose Cannons) are, apparently, the darlings of XFM. I wouldn't know, given that I live in the sticks, but I'm not at all surprised considering the quality of I Like It When Ya...
The track is intensely funky and dirty in a Scissor Sisters kind of way, while never foraying into camp, Scissor-style shenanigans. The Loose Cannons have clearly done their funk math well - groovy female vocals plus a fair smattering of brass stabs divided by hand claps equals an infectiously fun and feisty track.
A debut LP is set for release soon after the single, and it looks set to feature more stanky beats than you can shake a stick at. Kaiser Saucy and Lord Fader aim to appeal to the rump shaker in all of us, and it's no bad thing. Party on.
