One of the more pleasant surprises of last year, the Stodart/Gannon sibling combination make a swift return with a song that, while it may not show any signs of progression from their debut album, is the very definition of 'life-affirming'.
It's the Numbers at their more upbeat, with driving guitars to the forefront, and Romeo Stodart's impossibly sweet voice harmonising to delightful effect with his sister Michele and Angela Gannon. As with most of the Magic Numbers' output, there's a deep well of melancholy here as well, which just adds to the rather swoonsome effect.
Another triumph then, from a band who can prove single-handed that image means nothing if you've got songs as gorgeous as this.
