They're stating the obvious, those people in the Magic Numbers - "this is a song, and these are the words" might seem like an incredibly lazy hook line to employ for a new single but it works rather nicely, especially in the context of a yearning, unrequited love.
If you haven't heard it on the radio yet, you'll not be surprised to learn it contains the same sing-along qualities that characterized Love Me Like You and Take A Chance, while dipping nicely for the catchphrase, Romeo and Michele Stodart harmonizing nicely over some intricate guitar work.
The Magic Numbers' success seems to be built on solid pop songs that stand up incredibly well to repeated hearings, hence that radio success. This is another to add to that growing list.
