Ah now this is something special. There's been a buzz building up around The Magic Numbers since their limited 7' single Hymm For Her last year and an appearance on the last Chemical Brothers album also helped to add to their rising stock.

Forever Lost is, in a word, wonderful. Uplifting, jangly acoustics strum along, there's some delicious male/female harmonies and joyous handclaps spread amongst the song, and lead singer Romeo Stodart has a sweet as honey voice that's all the more extraordinary for coming from a rather portly, bearded hairy guy.

They've already proclaimed their upcoming debut album as a classic and on this evidence it's going to be hard to disagree with them. A song to take with you into the summer and beyond, The Magic Numbers are just about to become your new favourite band.
