Summer's Here is a pretty little electronic lounge ditty that evokes heady days of sipping cocktails in the evening sun. The jazzy organ tinkles, uptempo shuffling drums, ethereal synth chords, a funky bass and dreamy electonicised vocals make for a superbly chilled dance track.
It's the first single released by Magnus, a super-duo made up of Belgians CJ Bolland (techno DJ/producer) and Tom Barman (frontman of Antwerp-based rockband dEUS). Taken from their debut album The Body Gave You Everything, it's also the title track for the film Any Way The Wind Blows, directed by Barman.
Summer's Here also serves as the ideal soundtrack to the long hazy days ahead of us. And while the single itself is nothing ground-breaking, it's too relaxed to care.
