There’s a lot of electro-tinged rock around at the moment, and this debut single from the sexy sophisticated duo that are Mancini is a lesson to all in how it needs to be done. This is what bands like Dragonette could sound like with a bit of spit and polish.

Sounding like a bit of a mix between Sneaker Pimps and early Garbage with a hint of vintage Primal Scream, Mancini manage to be both sultry and interesting. Singer Iraina provides a suitable delectable femme fatale frontage, with her silky-smooth vocals really lifting the track onto a higher level, whilst Josh gives the track extra whammy with his jagged guitars and experimental take on the electro-genre.

This is definitely worth a purchase, and the great selection of remixes is an added bonus for any music aficionado. With every new band and artist being hailed by their record company as the ones to watch for the coming year it can sometimes be a poisoned chalice, but the signs are good for Mancini.
