Mark Joseph enjoyed success last year in the form of two Top 40 singles, both of which were released and promoted by the man himself. Bringing Back Those Memories is his first major label release.
The song is instantly likeable, with a rousing chorus and an admirably positive outlook. Unfortunately it feels far too close to home for comfort, sticking to a formula throughout, with Joseph clearly unwilling (or unable) to bring anything innovative to the table.
Bringing Back Those Memories is bound to appeal to Robbie Williams fans, and as far as pop goes, it's not so bad. Those who take their music seriously, however, should probably stick to something a little closer to the wind.
