The tale of unlikely bedfellows Mark Morriss and David Arnold moves onto its second short playing instalment, the Bluetones singer finding a bit of soul in this slow number.
Lay Low isn't orchestral Bluetones, though, and the touches Arnold adds are largely window dressing to make the song more attractive, though as the song reaches its climax there does seem to be too much going on.
That said, the song makes an understated impact - even if the customary bitter-sweet lyrics he uses for his day job seem strangely missing.
