While Rufus Wainwright thinks up ever more flamboyant ways to take over the world, sister Martha is quite happy in quietly sticking to what she's best at - in other words, no Judy Garland recreations, but plenty of beautifully twisted little love songs.
Bleeding All Over You comes from her upcoming second album, the mischievously titled I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, and instantly you know all's right with the world again. Her recent marriage doesn't appear to have made Martha any more upbeat, as Bleeding All Over You appears to be a message to an unrequited lover, with Wainwright's voice swooping and swirling majestically amongst the gentle acoustic melody.
Lyrically, as ever, she's at the top of her game. Not only is that album title mentioned, but she also effortlessly manages to fit in the line "there's cowshit in your brain and love in your heart". If her debut album charmed you, then be prepared to fall in love all over again.
