This is music for lazy minds, a debut single that's indie rock in the mildest, Coldplay sense of the term. It's very nice.
The arrangement is soothing, despite a sudden burst of electric guitars towards the end. All the edges have been rounded off, and the sound is full and carefully but somehow lacking in energy modulated (what a lot of instruments they do play, we're supposed to marvel). All you really hear is "forever" being crooned gently.
You can happily let it drift in one ear and out the other without being surprised, disappointed or, really, influenced in any way. It's being used in an eco documentary, Whatever Happened To The Electric Car? which is probably far less controversial than its promoters would have you believe if their choice of music is anything to go by. File under C for complacent.
