Oh, how it must feel to be one of the biggest up and coming metal bands in the UK just like, well, Mendeed. Having already played support slots to such revered metal bands as Anthrax and to have obtained cool reviews from their debut album, 2004’s From The Shadows Came Darkness the band are on the rising, quite literally.
Beneath A Burning Sky bleeds with sweat and an unrelenting energy that is actually almost terrifying with its brutal intensity. The riffs are laid down hard, the drumming is strong and the overall sound is hardcore stuff - it is very nifty indeed! Sibling tracks, The End Of Man and Divided We Fall also kick ass, so to speak.
With this kind of furious music Mendeed have enough charcoal to, not only a burn a hole in the sky, but to burn a very big hole in the metal community. To quote Ike and Tina Turner, I think it’s gonna to work out fine.
