Quite a buzz is building around the Midnight Juggernauts, who along with Cut Copy are turning Melbourne into one of the hottest musical cities this year.

Yet whereas Cut Copy are summery, quite sophisticated pop that looks over its shoulder towards the 1980s, the Juggernauts drive headlong through the mix with the sort of track that will have the sweat running down the walls in any club.

Into The Galaxy is a winning combination of big synth arpeggios, an athletic bass line, a crunching rhythm that has a bass drum with boots on and, topping it all, three part harmonies that tell wondrous stories of outer space. Mixes from compatriots Architecture In Helsinki and Metronomy bring even more to the table. What, you're still here? Go and buy one of the songs of the summer and then report back…
