Aaahhh. When you've seen the cover for this, how can you possibly think of leaving it on the shelf?! Mind you, we know never to judge a book by its cover, so just as well Misty Dixon's four track EP is worth the modest outlay.
The title track is softly melodic, Jane Weaver's vocals and the jangly guitar hinting at Broadcast, with a pleasingly memorable tune. Then comes the lullaby My Ordinary Friend, and the subtle hypnosis of electro track Misty Disco, which settles into a decent bass loop.
A good package, as you might expect from Twisted Nerve, Andy Votel's label that has a reputation for getting off the beaten track. Misty Dixon looks to be one of their best bets.
