Spiders begins quietly, almost eerily, as befits a song about arachnids. Moby's voice is fragile over guitar, synth and drums.
Then it launches into one of the euphoric, yet DIY-sounding, choruses the like of which have become a hallmark of Moby's songs. The tempo is considerably slower than Lift Me Up, but it's no less memorable.
A certain crowd pleaser live, Spiders makes the case once again that Moby harbours an intrinsic ability to knock out radio-friendly cuts of pop music.
