Moby's still hawking his fifth studio album, Hotel. The record was out in March 2005, so it's no wonder that somebody at Mute worked out he'd have to do something with his next single to regain interest in the record.

Slipping Away has duly been rerecorded. With the single mix featuring additional backing vocals from Alison Moyet and Tracy Ackerman, the 12" comes backed with a remix of Where You End by Tiga.

In truth the new recording isn't much different to the album version, and if anything the extra vocal tracks are superfluous rather than essential. Still, it's one of Hotel's better tracks, and prepares the way for Moby's live DVD to follow in March.
