Mohair are a quartet from London who, when times were hard, used to bed down in a cowshed that was shared with a donkey named Derek - rock and roll. Life is the latest single off their forthcoming debut album, Small Talk.

Life is a throbbing slab of giant, stadium filling, drum-smashing rock. Tom Billington wails his vocals over a raucous yet heart-aching backdrop of angular guitar thrashes, swirling Hammond, and drums which Peter Baker bashes with military precision.

Coldplay comparisons may fly Mohair's way, they make a brand of emotionally tinged, highly accessible, but still quite cool kind of a sound. Life exhibits Mohair's good songwriting ethic, with original structure coupled with varying dynamics and interesting melodies providing an engaging listen.
