Mr Scruff's getting busy - and his third generously filled single in four months whets the appetite further ahead of a projected album release late this year or early next.

This time he's joined by chanteuse Alice Russell, with both proclaiming their love of music in a delectably catchy hook, given some jazzy funk by its creator and some soulful attitude by its vocalist. "Think of a life without music," she begins. Not a chance with her voice!

As a bonus there's a baritone sax adding a bit of cheek to The Clock, which trips along happily with furtive organ stabs, while Fix That Speaker exactly fits its description on the Ninja website as "the sound of a bassist trying to fight his way out of a paper bag while being pummelled by the other members of the band". Genius.
