Mull Historical Society - How 'Bout I Love You More

Colin MacIntyre is always the bridesmaid, never the bride. With Mull's debut LP he struck a chord that didn't quite resonate with everybody, and its follow up Us wasn't quite coherent enough to reap reward. Forthcoming album This Is Hope, on the other hand, sounds like a sure-fire winner.

How 'Bout I Love You More is your typical Mull track, featuring a simple melody and various layers of audible niceties. It crescendos fantastically well, culminating in MacIntyre's resolve to win our affections - "How 'bout I love you more?". It's not an invite to turn down; Mull Historical Society Mk. III is sounding more accomplished and confident than ever.

Life isn't fair. That's why pop nitwits like McFly sit pretty at the top of the charts week in, week out. Colin and co. are not going to buck the trend, but have in How 'Bout I Love You More? a thoroughly likeable song that may creep its way into more record collections than you'd expect.
