Mum & Dad might be from Manchester, but if you think that means they jangle guitars at you just like everybody else there, now's your chance to think again. 'Kiss of Death' is experimentation gone quite dazzlingly mad.
The appropriately gothic 'Kiss of Death' and backing tracks 'Million Dollar Teardrop' and 'Kids With Psychic Powers' are complete sonic experiences, soundscapes of the kind you might hear if you asked AlisonGoldfrapp to sing lead vocals for Labradford and got Kate Bush and Bis to produce it. All three tracks sound totally different to each other, the only link being how decidedly odd they all are.
It's weird, it's out there, it's mind-bending - it's music like you've not heard before. Go and buy it.
