The Music - Freedom Fighters (Virgin)
UK release date: 6 September 2004
The Music - Freedom Fighters

First single proper from The Music's massively anticipated follow up to 2002's colossal album, have they still got it? Damn right they have, in abundance in fact, they've got it so much it's oozing from every drum, guitar and microphone. It bleeds through the speakers, and makes you want to take on the world.

Freedom Fighters is built around a relentless baggy, pounding rhythm, but sees The Music take a slightly rockier road than most of 2002's self titled album. Rob Harvey's vocals still soar majestically over everything, whille Nutter's classic rock riff scours and pierces all in its path.

If this is anything to go by, then this group of twenty-year-olds from Leeds that call themselves The Music are going to take over the world. Freedom Fighters screams that they're ready for any challenge thrown in front of them. It's hard to put into words just how good they are.
