Back from a three and a half year break, The Music are let loose for album number three with Flood and Paul Hartnoll in tow on the production desk.
For a band that are never knowingly underproduced, it comes as something of a novelty to find the Leeds foursome given a bit more cohesion and structure, whilst their links with house music are further reinforced.
It's energetic stuff, with Robert Harvey's prodigious voice as ever the apple of their eye. With him at the controls the music remains brash and up for it, as if preparing for a monster night out. It does however show the band's search for true originality continues - with Primal Scream and the Stone Roses still potent influences on their overall sound.
