It's now a year and a half since Mylo emerged from the Isle of Skye with
his excellent Destroy Rock & Roll debut, so for Sony to insist on bleeding
the record dry with yet another single release is something of a
disappointment for those longing to hear him in some new material.
Fortunately they've chosen something of a cracker. Muscle Car is a club
friendly track with pumped up vocals from Freeform Five basically
reeling off the names of America's sexiest sports cars in the chorus, but
with some nicely suggestive overtones in the verse. However, the real reason
for getting this package lies in the remixes, and in particular Sander
Kleinenberg's monster version, its Killer-style bassline backed by
some seriously full-bodied beats that threaten to destroy the dancefloor.
Turn the bass up, and suitable abandon will ensue.
Only marginally less good is Tiga's remix, an electro cut in the
style early house, extremely well constructed, and DJ T completes a
formidable line-up. All ends well, then... a seemingly pointless package
given considerable kudos for house music heads.
