The lovely Natalie seemed to disappear for a long time after the disappointing White Lillies Island album, but it turns out she ensconced in domestic bliss with Daniel Johns of Silverchair and Dissociatives fame. And boy, can't you just tell?

Counting Down The Days, the title track from Imbruglia's third album, positively oozes with that loved up feeling that makes couples feel all warm and single people all bitter. Yet it avoids smugness and instead sounds just heart-warmingly gorgeous. Natalie tells us how she can't wait to be with her man on the other side of the world before bursting into a chorus that lodges inside your head and stays there for all eternity. She even gets away with putting wedding bells in the song, and that takes some doing.

It's the sort of song that couples in long-distance relationships will buy for each other while their friends discreetly vomit in the background, but don't let that put you off. It's a bit lightweight and not particularly deep, but it's none the worse for that. Another big hit for the doe-eyed Aussie then.
