First of all, what on earth was Noah doing with a whale? Stick a whale on an ark and it'd be screwed. Maybe whales were his only source of food as he floated about laughing at the corpses of all those evil people and animals before scuppering himself on that big mountain. The fool.
I digress. Too late for summer, this is a tune that deserves it place in the sun. The sun has probably put his hat on and strummed away at the ukulele on Five Years Time. Yep, that's right a ukulele, oh yes, there's hand claps too, and the whole thing opens up with an eminently catchy whistle. The kind of thing you'd actually not mind coming out of your milkman at five in the morning.
Lyrically it's a little tale of what might happen to a relationship over the course of five years. They could be wandering around a zoo, or laughing at each others silly little jokes. Of course the whole thing could go tits up, but that's way too negative and with a song like this how can you not look forward five years time and know that everything's going to be ok? It's pertinent that the song features the line "I'll look at you and say it's the happiest I've ever been" because this is a song that forces serotonin into your brain like a doctor receiving backhanders from a pharmaceutical company. Get this and get happy. This is the happiest I've ever been.
