There's nothing quite like a controversial video to catapult you into consciousness is there? Original Cast's features them playing naked women as if they were instruments. It looks like it's been directed by Richard Kern, if Richard Kern had gone a bit soft and started liking bright colours, glitter and not sewing up orifices. There's a bloke in it who looks a bit like Jerry Sadowitz (or the Boosh's Hitcher depending on who you know) shouting like a cockney geezer. Oh, and there's tits and everything in it. You can even see this one woman's...
But that doesn't tell you too much about the song does it? Well, to be fair, What Am I Supposed To Do isn't half bad, but it ain't exactly great either. It sounds a bit like several other bands at the moment, not least The Streets (if he was a bit shit with a phrase) and Hard-Fi. Several elements also hark back to the days of Sultans of Ping, which is not really such a good thing.
Apart from a storming chorus which will fill many a dance floor, the rest of the song comes across as lyrically retarded and a little lost for ideas, despite chucking everything but the kitchen sink into it. Still nice video lads, maybe one for the ladies next time eh?
