Out From Animals first appeared in our consciousness through a stint in T4's Mobile Act Unsigned, which they didn't win - but then as we've seen before, the winners in these competitions don't necessarily get all the spoils.

"Our learning's constrained and organised!" complains singer Andy Morgan over a backing full of bluster, pounding bass drum and busy guitars carrying all before them but removing any traces of subtlety.

It's a bold statement - and a song that asks a few questions. "I've got a lot to learn!" is the conclusion, but what the band have already done is capture the attention - a feat repeated in B-sides It's Not Perfection and Greed, which again have a dance rhythm pitched among the busy guitars.
