The debut single from this four-piece is a jaunty keyboard-led track about an up-and-down relationship driving the protagonists to half-price wine.
It owes a lot to the Guilty Pleasures phenomenon but there's a fine line between being a guilty pleasure and being annoying. The biggest problem is that the song just isn't good enough or memorable enough to put them on the map.
They seem to be aiming to position themselves at the opposite end of the music spectrum to the current spate of worthy young guitar bands. There are indications that they might have more to offer, but the irritant factor on this first slice of Palladium is high and if it gets a lot of airplay people will be turning the radio off in their droves. Apparently they also wear some of the oddest clothes on earth, which can never be a good thing. Let's see what else they have in store for us, but on the evidence here, The Feeling might have a lot to answer for.
